Who we are

Birthwell Collective was created to support a version of motherhood that feels soft, empowered, and well.

We know that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are some of the most transformational seasons in a person’s life—and yet, too often, people are navigating them feeling stressed, overlooked, or unsupported. Birthwell Collective was born out of a desire to change that.

We blend full-spectrum doula support with accessible wellness practices like movement, breathwork, and mindfulness—because your mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing matters just as much as your birth plan.

We hold space for the full range of reproductive experiences—not just birth, but abortion, miscarriage, and loss. We believe that all parts of the reproductive journey deserve care, reverence, and support.

While our work is rooted in love and care, we also know that not everyone is given equal access to those things. That’s why we’re committed to a vision of reproductive justice—where all parents, regardless of race, income, gender, or background, can receive the care and support they deserve.

Our founder, LaKia Williams, is a full-spectrum doula, and prenatal and postpartum wellness guide who centers joy, culture, and connection in everything she does. She brings years of experience as a reproductive justice advocate—working alongside Black and Brown communities and organizations to create more liberated, affirming reproductive and birth experiences.
